FUTA’s 208th inaugural lecture made a case for protecting indigenous knowledge

Lecture date

Professor Oluremi Adenike Abiolu used FUTA’s 208th inaugural lecture to call for better preservation of Nigerian indigenous knowledge and broader access to reliable information.

The lecture connected two questions that often get treated separately: what knowledge is preserved, and who can retrieve it. It is a useful starting point for student projects on archives, library systems and community knowledge.
